We value the life of Jesus and the earthly example he gave us. He lived the life of a servant and taught us that to be great in the Kingdom of God we must take on the role of a servant here on earth. We believe all Christians have been given spiritual gifts to be used to build up the Church by serving others, witnessing, and offering simple acts of kindness to the lost and unchurched. Through acts of unconditional love and forgiveness Jesus modeled the life of a true disciple and so we will offer acts of unconditional love to the people of our community.
Example projects we have done are the Hot Chocolate Give-a-way the morning after Thanksgiving for shoppers waiting in line for sales (4:00a.m.) at Wal Mart; Woodland Towne Centre Easter Egg Hunt, Water & Pop Give-a-ways at the ball park and on Move in Day at BGSU; a Flower Seed Give-a-way on Mother's Day weekend, Giving Special Gifts to person's in trailer parks; Collecting Food for the homeless; Free Child Care for Christmas shoppers at the mall; giving away Hand Made Scarves at the Christmas Parade in downtown Bowling Green; and, Totally Free Car Washes.
Turning Point takes servant evangelism very seriously, organizing events on a regular basis, particularly in conjunction with our small group ministries. We are always looking for new ways to show God's unconditional love in practical ways.
